Benchmarking Sustainability Integration in Higher Education Curricula
We believe that achieving rapid and lasting societal change starts with engaging the future leaders and decision-makers who are currently sitting in higher education classrooms. To make this a reality, it is essential to embed sustainability concepts, values, and practices throughout the higher educational experience. This includes not only curriculum development but also teaching and learning strategies, research activities, stakeholder engagement, and efforts to strengthen communities.
To drive this transformation, we have established three core standards: the EDuC Label Criteria Framework, which defines the benchmark for sustainability in academic programs; the EDuC Metrics ESD Maturity Assessment Tool, designed to support universities in diagnosing ESD integration across their programs; and Our Pledge, a formal declaration of our commitment to advancing sustainability in higher education, which we encourage you to explore and sign.

The EDuC Label is the 1st international sustainability accreditation for higher education degree programs of all types and disciplines committed to bringing sustainability learning to students.
