INTRODUCING 23 TO CHANGE
The Global Campaign for a Better Understanding of Higher Education for Sustainability
In just 15 minutes, you will immediately obtain basic education for sustainable development (ESD) maturity scores for your higher education degree program. Upon completion of the campaign, you will receive anonymized data about how your program compares with others, as well as a certificate as evidence of your contribution to a better understanding of global ESD integration in higher education.
The criteria are derived from the four years of R&D behind the EDuC Label, the first international accreditation assessing the integration of sustainability content in higher education programs.

Why Join EDuC?
Our mission is to ensure that future employees, entrepreneurs and business leaders are prepared to reconcile business activities with present and future environmental and social challenges. We do this by supporting change in higher education curricula by bringing visibility and credibility to program-level sustainability commitments while empowering students in their choice of studies.
Through its incorporation as a French société à mission, Join EDuC (formerly known as La Belle EDuC) is legally bound to drive its operations forward with the overriding goal of creating the following impacts:
Lead higher education institutions to greater integration of sustainability content and practice in curricula;
Offer greater visibility to students on sustainability coverage in programs;
Contribute to the development and sharing of measurement tools and best practices in sustainability for education stakeholders;
Raise awareness among stakeholders of the challenges of sustainability and its integration in teaching and the student learning experience.
One Mission
Join EDuC, an impact-first company, and Back to School for the Planet (BTSP), a registered nonprofit, were founded in France in 2020 and 2021, respectively, by Johanna Wagner and Carina Hopper. Both were business school sustainability lecturers driven by concerns that social and environmental aspects and impacts were being overlooked in university classrooms worldwide. While their activities vary, Join EDuC and BTSP share a common mission: to accelerate the integration of education for sustainable development (ESD) in higher education. The movements have attracted advocates from diverse sectors, whose contributions are essential to the organizations' impact.
